Are you looking for a stimulating alternative to the usual ‘round robin’ introductions at the start of a course or conference? Do you need to break the ice to get your participants to perform at their best, even if they already know each other?
The Icebreakers package comprises a dynamic selection of games to accelerate the ‘getting to know you’ process. Suitable for any event from a team discussion to a project or course, they are designed to encourage your group to be productive sooner, relaxing them and getting them ready to contribute fully to the job in hand.
Objective
Icebreakers comprises a variety of exercises which will :
- Assist delegates in the ‘storming’ phase of team development
- Help break down barriers by creating familiarity between delegates
- Give delegates the confidence to participate
- Offer insight into each others’ personalities and skills
- Underline how good communication and repartee produces more effective results
How it works
With 10 different exercises to choose from, Icebreakers gives the tutor the opportunity to select the most appropriate warm-up activity for any given group or situation. Some of the tasks require players to use general knowledge, whilst others tap in to their wider experience and personal views.
All the exercises will involve the group in discussing alternative viewpoints, and building understanding and consensus. This creates a level of understanding between delegates and helps to break down inhibitions.
What participants will be doing
All the exercises involve the group in discussing alternative view points and building understanding and consensus while attempting to complete the given task.
For what levels is it appropriate?
Any group of people who need to cooperate in the short or long term. Suitable for graduate intake through to managers.
Included
Includes tutor manual and all material required for each exercise.
